I now have 13 players under contract, all those who were supposed to have one more year after the initial 4 yr contracts are now FAs. Unless I read it wrong, I thought I had one more year before resigning. The salary cap level is not matching up with starters salary requests, so unless this gets fixed, Im done, or will take a different team

How do I fix this? Ideas? It's too late now but it would help in future situations.
wish you could but you cant Koz, its up to JDB and I dont know what he would be able to do at this point. Something is def wrong with both FA contracting and existing roster contract renewals. I had 4 FA contracts that were offered in another league, on players that Idid not make and would not make an offer on. Splain that one, ha

Ive got the Paydirt LC coming up tmw night, after that, if this keeps happening in all the leagues, Im going to drop all but MFN1, cut my account level down to one team, no ads, and wait till he gets this fixed and also much needed improvements.

Major problem, definitely. This is a problem that is MFN wide, just not our league, and it needs fixed. Hope he can fix it...quick..

This problem, alone, could almost be the end of MFN, if this problem doesn't get fixed ASAP. I can see many owners who may do the same as you. The loss of revenue, if this happens, would devastate him and the game. Let's hope all things work out.

Unless I am misunderstanding the issue, any player that you had before the end of season sim ran last night that showed "1" year remaining on their contract was in the final year of their contract. When the end of season sim ran, the "1" essentially became "0" and the player became a free agent. I believe this is the way it has always worked in other leagues, to my memory. And while I was not one of the original owners of a team in this league, when I took over my team midway through season one (season two just completed), I observed that most players on my team were signed to two year contracts so I presumed this was normal for a new league and planned ahead to sign those expiring contracts during season two to prevent the issue discussed.

This is correct to my understanding as well i did not lose any players that was not expected. Still i find the bigger issue is that you cant have a brand new league with absolutely no salary cap and every player basically on the exact same 2 year contract. Even though i did not lose any player unexpectedly, my roster is still down to 29 players which is really dumb. However, this is what i eluded to yesterday in the GG forum. The League is about to be flipped upside down lol
I went by the 1 year left on the contracts, which were all those from the draft. Just to resign all of them would have wiped out the salary cap, and I dont want to put in the time/effort to do that with the potential for a salary cap disaster, which has been happening across the league. You guys who know me know that Ive been playing this game for over 6 years, maybe 7, and Ive only had a sal cap problem one time, about 4 years ago, with an average of 6 teams running simultaneously, so... what does that tell you. All of a sudden, Ive had two major sal cap miscues.
