The GOSH league is going through a very difficult time due to a glitch in the the signing of players and other points. When these bugs get fixed then I will start the league back up.
I apologize for any inconvenience, frustration, and punched walls, this may have caused all of you. Your patience, and understanding, in this matter would greatly be appreciated.

Kosmic 28 -
The league appreciates your leadership. Many thanks.
Please take a moment to explain to team owners specifically what you are seeking to be fixed and how you will secure the fix.
As was noted by me and by BobaBall in the "Contracts and Renewal are broken" topic, players were able to be re-signed as per normal throughout the season and before the end of season sim. There was nothing amiss with the contract re-signing function at any point.
There was, however, the situation from the origin of the league where many players were somehow signed to two year contracts. That being said, we are now in the early stages of season number three and all of those two year contracts have either expired to free agency or the players were re-signed to contract extensions. Are you suggesting that everything somehow gets "rolled back" to an earlier point in season number two?

I had no issues up until the end of season sim last night. Its always been any player on 1 year contract that means the season you are in. at end of season, they become FA. I only play in 1 league (this one) so shutting it down UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE kind of puts me is a bad spot. Are they working to fix the issue ? what the time frame we looking at? a little more details and expectations of moving forward would be appreciated.

Please forgive me, but I'm a bit confused about what the issue is. At any point during the season, you can click on a player from the roster and see their player card. From there you click the Details icon, and it shows the players current contract situation. If 2026 was the last year of their contract, then they currently have "No Contract" with your team since the end of 2026 season sim. I spent last season resigning most of the players I drafted in the initial league draft, so I don't have many players with "No Contract". Is that what some folks are at issue with? Sorry for the confusion on the topic. Just trying to understand everyone's viewpoint.

I'm very sure that when you see a player with 1 season on his contract in a given season, that's his contract up for renewal....I'm not sure how people got sucked into thinking otherwise tbh.
The definite known bug here is the actual signing of the contracts - there seems to be an issue with the sliders when you change them, in that they don't alter the contract.
I'm pretty sure this is a new bug, and I've only seen it recently in 2 leagues (I only play 3).

I want to thank all of you, who responded to this topic, and have given me good feedback. 1. I'm just as confused as all of you are regarding this situation. As a rookie administrator, I've learned more about the workings of all that is MFN. 2. I originally wanted to make a poll asking to play through it or shut down for awhile. But, being cautious, and not wanting to get things out of hand, I decided to pause until the situation gets fixed. 3. From the info that all of you have presented, I'm beginning to wonder if it's a bug with the system at all, and maybe owners not noticing the 2 yr contracts that were given, and just assuming that all the players, drafted in the initial draft received the normal 3 yr contracts. 4. Owners of all experience levels, of understanding the workings of MFN, and how things have progressed in the past with initial drafts, were caught in this snafu. 5. Those that had noticed this anomaly, in the contracts offered to those in the initial draft, had taken the proper preventative steps to avoid the mess that owners, who didn't notice the anomaly, find themselves in now. 6. I commend those that noticed the anomoly and fixed the situation on their team. 7. I don't remember reading anything regarding the 2 yr contracts given instead of the normal 3, in any forums. Was this situation reported to anyone? I, too, was caught unaware of the 2 yr contracts. 8. So this, in fact, is actually a lesson for all owners to a) pay closer attention to all details of the game, b) to report to someone who can fix the situation, via the forums, and c) notify your administrator, of the league where you encountered the problem, so they can do the necessary followups needed to ensure it gets resolved. 9. I will be restarting the league as soon as I'm done with this post. 10. To those of us who got caught in this mess, looks like we're SOL and need to be more careful in the future.
Good luck to all this, and every, season

Here is a post from eight months ago on 10/10/2025 by warrior462, located in the Community Forums, under the topic "October 2025 Update". Several of us had been trying to find the solution to extending contracts in the new UI and warrior462 was gracious enough to make the solution he discovered available to everyone.

Here is the process for getting the cheapest possible contract in the new UI:
1. Set the number of years you want to extend for. 2. Set both sliders all the way to the left (Note the amount of the minimum base salary, and after this point, don't touch either slider again). 3. You will see the message "This player will not renegotiate for a bonus less than $(total bonus)". 4. Take total bonus and divide by the number of years set in step 1, this is your per year bonus (write this down, ceiling rounding to the next dollar up in all division calculations). 5. Divide per year bonus by 0.75 (the decimal representing 75%, the maximum possible bonus, which results in the overall cheapest contract. You can adjust here for a smaller bonus percentage in certain situations), this is your first year total salary. 6. Take your first year total salary, and subtract your per year bonus to get your first year base salary (*If this number is smaller than the minimum first year base salary, stop and see below). 7. Enter your first year base salary manually in the "First Year Base + Bonus" box (not the first year base box below, but the box above the slider). This sets the base salary as desired for all years of the contract, since bonus is currently set to 0. 8. Enter your total bonus manually in the "Bonus" box above the slider. 9. Ignore the error message and submit.
* If you are here, Simply type the total bonus amount in the "Bonus" box, ignore the error message, and submit.
I wish I had a bit more time to double check some details, but this *should* be fully accurate.
