The Cowboys delivered a commanding performance, shutting out the Titans 50-0 in their final preseason matchup on August 28 at home.

From the opening kickoff, head coach Christopher Evans had his team well-prepared. After the Titans won the toss and chose to receive, Dallas struck quickly with quarterback Michael Turner connecting with running back Kenneth Graham for a 28-yard touchdown early in the first quarter. The Cowboys took a 7-0 lead after Austin Atkinson’s successful extra point.

Turner's presence was felt throughout the game as he completed 27 of 33 passes for 361 yards and five touchdowns. The offense was rounded out by a strong rushing attack of 46 carries for 225 yards and five rushing scores. Kenneth Graham was a standout weapon, rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown while also catching passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. Running back Robert Newhouse contributed 70 rushing yards and added a receiving touchdown as well.

Dallas' first-quarter dominance included a key interception by Michael Walter, which helped set up a rushing touchdown from Newhouse to increase the lead to 14-0. The Cowboys continued to build momentum with Turner throwing a 43-yard touchdown pass to Drew Pearson late in the first quarter, pushing the lead to 21-0.

The second quarter saw Atkinson add a 36-yard field goal, while Turner found Nelson Mills for another touchdown just before halftime. Mills finished with a rushing touchdown and 36 receiving yards.

In the third quarter, Turner connected with tight end Billy Joe DuPree on a 33-yard touchdown reception. DuPree also ran for two touchdowns during the game, adding 76 receiving yards to his stat line. The Cowboys kept the pressure on until the final whistle, limiting the Titans to just 117 total yards and no offensive touchdowns.

Defensively, Dallas recorded three sacks and forced two interceptions. The Titans' quarterbacks Mark Frost and Marty Liu combined for 55 passing yards and two interceptions but were unable to generate any scoring momentum. Tennessee's ground game offered modest resistance with 62 rushing yards but failed to convert any third downs.

Penalties slightly hindered Dallas with six infractions for 40 yards, but that did not impact their dominance. The Titans committed fewer penalties, twice resulting in 25 yards, and were unable to capitalize on Dallas mistakes.

The Cowboys move on from the preseason with an emphatic statement victory. Their balanced offense coupled with a stifling defense made the difference in this shutout win over the Titans. Head coach Christopher Evans will look to carry this momentum into the regular season.
