Re: League rules, code of conduct, and other things you should know before you join this league (Rough Draft)

You are the Owner/Coach of your team.
Team Set Up:
1. You will keep the team name, the stadium capacity, and the city it is located in that is provided by the league.

2 You may change the name of the stadium, the playing field (grass, turf, etc), Logos, and names of the players. You can keep the names of the players you have drafted or change them. My team is the LA Rams so I will try to fill my team with past, present, players that have played for the Rams over the years.

Players:
1. You may change the name, number, and position, for any player that you feel would be best for your team. Keep in mind, the lighter the player, the less effective he'd be at Defensive End or Linebacker.

Code of Conduct:
1. I am striving for this to be a fun league where new players can learn and experienced players can share their knowledge with others.

2. No foul language, harassing comments, and comments that may be obviously offensive to others.

Trades:
1. Trading is an essential part of this game. Try to keep the trades even, and fair, as you can. New players, as well as experienced players, may miss a key factor when weighing an trade offer.

2. You may trade draft picks along with players when making a trade/counter offer. But be very cautious when pondering trading a first round pick.
A. If both players agree to the trade than it will be accepted as is by the Administrator.
B. Voided trades will only happen if there is enough evidence to prove that there was misconduct by one of the trade partners.
4, Jumping from team to team: An owner may leave one team to own another as long as the owner doesn't purposely ruin his current team's future success. ie: trading away good players, high or nearly all draft picks, drafting bad players during his last draft as owner of the team, and others not listed here.
These are basic rules of conduct and guidelines for the league. I believe in simplicity. If you need help with anything, don't be afraid to ask me, or better yet, ask someone with more experience, if possible.

Welcome to the League! Good luck with your team!

You might have a think on the amount of Pre-Season games? And whether or not to reduce injuries for pre-season games.

Also, nobody likes injuries, I'd suggest a 60-ish injury rating for all regular/post-season games. perhaps?

Thanks, Kabab!! Sounds good. I was wondering what a good injury rate would be.

Injuries are not something that anyone "likes", but they are a part of the game. I had 3 top notch starters on IR for the last Paydirt POs. If you want a RL simulation and more challenging aspect to the game, then you should still include injuries as a part of it. We all hate them, but that is a part of RL football and having to manage them. My 2 bucks worth, cents went out the door about 50 years ago.

Also, a realistic injury level adds value to getting the bye round for the PO's, as in RL.

I think we all know that injuries are a part of the game, but I think you are missing the point as it relates to comparing injuries from RL to this Sim. In the RL NFL, you have many different "sub-rosters" where you can easily replace an injured player.

In this sim you have to rely on great depth, which is not realistic given the lack of talent produced in the Draft, and as a direct result, the lack of talent in the FA pool.

Good point! I think 70% would be a good compromise, right? This is our league so I want to make sure it's as close to great as I can for all owners.

Can I suggest the injury meter be set to ZERO for pre-season? We have 4 pre-season games.

Is that something most League Admins do? I've got injuries in 1 league in pre-season. Please advise. Thanks.

You've been told - REPEATEDLY - you can't trade the first 30 days of joining a league.

if you're going to keep trolling people, don't expect people to want to help you.
